Introducing the Grand Codex

Starting this week, we will begin releasing early playtest material for the Mistgate campaign setting as part of our Grand Codex series of articles. For the time, this content will be exclusively available to our Hero tier supporters via Patreon. If you would like to gain early access to this content, please consider supporting Lorecall on Patreon.

The Grand Codex is similar in many ways to Dungeons & Dragons own Unearthed Arcana series of articles. The Grand Codex introduces play test material that we're seeking feedback on, currently and in the foreseeable future this content will heavily feature new rules and mechanics for Mistgate, but it won't be limited to that.

After releasing play test mateirals as part of a Grand Codex, a follow up post will be made with a link to a survey which we will use to get feedback from our players. We will take all of the feedback we receive into consideration and revise the mechanics as appropriate.

The Grand Codex is an important next step in sharing Mistgate, and the promise of Lorecall, with players and storytellers. It allows us to begin to share our hard work with others while we continue to play test, revise, and edit our content and game mechanics.

Expect the first Grand Codex article later this week. The inaugural article will focus on three class archetypes that are present in the Mistgate Play Test campaign, one for the cleric, monk, and sorcerer.
