Mistgate Preview: Blood, Mist, and Void Revisited

We released the first preview of Mistgate classes over two years ago when we published the first Grand Codex article Mistgate Preview: Blood, Mist, and Void. Today, as part of an earlier decision to begin releasing Mistgate gaming material early, we are revisiting the classes released as part of that earlier preview.

We have gone through many game sessions over the past two years play testing and refining these classes, among others which will be released over the upcoming weeks and months. Among the changes you can expect to see in some of the class options is better alignment to and management of class specific resources as well as adjustments to the power level of abilities (both increases and decreases).

As one of our Mistgate playtests-turned-full-campaign enters its final sessions, we look to bid farewell to Symbol the Void Monk, Gideon the Blood Sorcerer, Mophyz the Mist Cleric, Ris the Undying Warlock, Torinn the Moon Druid and Warden of the Mists, and finally, Jeb the Gunslinger and Adventurer. Their adventure may be nearing its end, but their story is still yet to be told. Keep an eye out for announcements on Lorecall, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, and on Lorecall's Youtube account for new content including the actual plays from the playtest.

We have a lot of great content coming your way, so please stay tuned!

This Is Playtest Content The material in this article is presented for playtesting the Mistgate campaign setting, and like the material presented in Grand Codex articles is designed to spark your imagination. These game mechanics are in draft form, usable in your games but not finalized. Some mechanics may be more or less refined than others, and not all mechanics will appear in the Mistgate game materials.
